The Hart Prairie is scheduled for Monday, October 11, and Tuesday, October 12th. Check out this website for information about this beautiful property and camping there. The aspen should be especially nice this year- if you are planning to attend the Paint the Aspen event just head on over toward Flagstaff for just a bit more painting, you won't regret it.

Painting Tubac Presidio

In keeping with APAP's love of our Arizona State Parks here is some news about the Tubac Presidio. Beth Ray has organized some wonderful painters to do demos on Saturday, October 16th, 2010. If you have never been to this park I urge you to take this opportunity to explore, shop, photograph and of course paint the Presidio. The old buildings are lovely with plenty of lovely views to consider. Tubac offers antique shops, good food, and wonderful views of the mountains. Here is the schedule for Saturday, Oct. 16th-
Phil Starke- 9:00-11:00
Robert Goldman- 11:00-1:00pm
Lois Griffel - 1:00- 3:00pm signing her new book
Kurt Anderson - 3:00pm-5:00pm

I personally know all these artists and their work, they are all outstanding in presenting the landscape in their own unique way. If you would like to get in free that day and also paint- you must contact Beth Ray in advance- don't be asking at the door!
