Plenty to be Thankful For

APAP artist Geri Acosta's work is featured in a group show in the Tucson International Airport's Lower Link Gallery through December 11, 2011.  Geri recently returned from a plein air painting excursion along the California coast.  Learn more about Geri's work at:

SAVE THE DATES: March 29 – April 11, 2012 are the dates of Arizona Plein Air Painters Members Juried Show in Sedona. The reception will be March 30th. More details will be announced later. This show will feature Arizona-only scenes to commemorate the Arizona State Centennial Celebration.

APAP President David Haskell has guided the club in its infancy, and during the most difficult financial climate most artists can remember. Next year, he will step down as President, but remain as a Founding Member on the Board of Directors to help guide new officers. Cody DeLong, our Vice-President, has chosen to leave the Board to pursue personal career goals, but will continue to assist with future shows. I’d just like to say,
“Thank You, Dave & Cody!”
to two truly dedicated and enthusiastic gentlemen to whom many of us owe a huge debt of gratitude. We hope we justify the legacy you have created, and carry on in the spirit of the original founders.

The 2012 APAP Board of Directors members have been selected, and here they are:

Sandy Farley President & Webmaster

Becky Joy Vice President & Shows Coordinator

Barbara Donahue Treasurer

Mary Lois Brown Secretary

Rita Goldner & Jeff Dolan – Publicity / Marketing

David Haskell President Emeritus & Advisor

Please take a moment and read David’s inspiring message on our website on the Current News page:

APAP artist Karen McLain often paints Arizona's wild horses from life.
Also new on the APAP website is our newest member to be showcased: Karen McLain. Karen turns her lifelong affection for horses into tributes in oil, evoking the love and personality of the animals she holds dear. Look for the Member Showcase page on the website.
