APAP Artists Busy With National & Local Shows

Six current APAP artists are included in the upcoming Verde Artist Challenge Exhibition, slated to open at Manheim Gallery, 747 E Main Street in Cottonwood.  Mary Lois Brown, Cindy Carrillo, Robert Dalegowski, founding member Barbara Donahue, Rita Elkins, and Michael Chesley Johnson joined APAP founding member Cody DeLong and others in the three-day Verde River rafting/camping/painting adventure during April that resulted in the show’s artwork.  Artists’ Reception is July 27, 5 pm to 8 pm, and the show runs through August 27. Learn more here:

Marla Smith has been accepted into the Women Artists of the West show in Estes Park, Colorado, with her painting titled "Prairie Sky."   Opening reception is July 6, and the show runs through July 28.  The show is held at the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Parks Fine Art Gallery, 423 W. Elkhorn Ave.  Stop by if you are in the area.

New Wave Fine Art Products' new disposable grey palette pad - perfect for plein air painters!

Here's something new you might want to check out:
New Wave Fine Art Products - a supporter of Arizona Plein Air Painters (awesome Pennsylvania Amish-handcrafted wood palettes) has a new disposable mid-grey palette pad that's sealed on 3 sides so the individual pages won't blow around in windy conditions.  They're shaped ergonomically to fit your body just like their other palettes, but these are disposable and perfect for plein air artists!  New Wave also sells a rectangular version of these disposable palettes for folks who prefer to keep their working paint layout on their plein air easel in front of them.

Here's a July 2013 coupon from another supporter of APAP artists, Arizona Art Supply.  Remember to mention you're a member of APAP to get a 10% discount on your entire purchase in Arizona Art Supply stores throughout the state - all year long!

  2. Hi all--this is Autumn with Arizona Art Supply. Thank you for your support and for posting our most recent coupon! We certainly appreciate your business. To clarify, your in-store discount is actually higher--it is 20% off any non-sale items (items that are on sale in store are 30%-60% off everyday--which means you save whether you buy items on sale or at retail pricing)! Thanks again for supporting an Arizona business, and the local economy!
