You ought to be in pictures!

A warm Arizona welcome to our newest artist member Heather Coen, formerly of Colorado!  Welcome and hope to see you soon at an APAP paint-out.
Speaking of which, our next paint-out is Saturday, December 7, beginning at 9 am, at the Capstone Films Back Lot -- 30005 N. 59th St., Cave Creek.  Our host is Paint-Out Coordinator Toni Perrin.
Genuine Rust available to paint!
The back lot is an opportunity to paint various subjects. There are old buildings, interesting doorways, old trucks, tractors, a boat, horses, and interiors. There's even a trashy trailer (of no great interest) that has been used as a prop.. Make friends with "Budzilla," the tortoise. She used to be "Bud" but someone discovered he was really a she. (Now just HOW did they DO that?)

Everything is very rustic. Actually, this is a rust-covered paradise for an outlandish assortment of junk. Oddities and nostalgia ooze from every corner. It's "kitsch heaven". Put away your notions of grand vistas with majestic mountains and stately cacti. Come paint some true grit. Remember, all that you see will have been used in feature films, and are actually movie props.
