Paris In Spring Date Change & More Art Events Coming!

Lorraine Pino, Manager of the Glendale Convention & Visitors Bureau, says Glendale’s downtown business owners are excited to know APAP artists will paint at their March 8th event, “Paris In Spring.”  APAP artists are asked to paint 10 am to 4 pm in Catlin Court and the Old Towne districts, and may sell small works where they set up, with a permit.  If you want to paint, just show up!  If you plan to sell on site, obtain a temporary sales permit by going to these sites: https://www.glendaleaz.com/taxandlicense/TemporaryLicense.cfm and https://www.glendaleaz.com/taxandlicense/documents/TransientApplication.pdf.

Arizona artists are invited to “ART IS ALIVE” Arts & Cultural Festival, Arts & Cultural Festival, March 28 – 30, 2014, in the city of Surprise.  APAP members should check your email for the attached prospectus.

Louise Sackett of Black Range Artists, Inc. has extended an invitation to APAP artists to participate in their 3-day plein air event in October 8-11, 2014, which will be followed by a show in Deming NM.  You may paint anywhere in southern New Mexico and Southeastern Arizona during this event.  Proceeds from commissions at the show in Deming, NM benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.  Check their website at http://www.blackrangeart.com/ for the prospectus and details.

Congratulations once again to Matt Sterbenz who took home the $1000 Best of Show Purchase Award at Casa Grande’s Annual Plein Air Event February 22nd!  Matt won 2nd Place at Glendale’s "A Chocolate Affaire" Plein Air Competition Feb. 8th.  He’s on a roll!
